XnSketch

XnSketch puts numerous effects at your disposal, effects that you can easily apply to any image you want. All these effects have one common purpose: to turn the image you loaded into a sketch. So if you want an easy means of making photos look like sketches, you’re very well advised to go get XnSketch.

XnSketch is available for multiple platforms: Windows (32 and 64-bit versions), Mac OS X, Linux, Android, and iOS. To get it up and running on your Windows-powered machine you must download an archive, extract its contents, and run the XnSketch executable.

The interface is made up of three panels. The one in the upper left hand side shows the image you loaded and previews an effect once selected. The effects are nicely presented in the panel down at the bottom. And in the upper right hand side, there’s a panel with sliders for the brightness, contrast, gamma, exposure, and saturation.

Load a photo into XnSketch and you can apply one of the many effects it has to offer. Black&white, white&black, neon, pastel, pencil, hope, and other effects are put at your disposal. If you want, you can also use the sliders from the upper right hand side to adjust the brightness, contrast, gamma, exposure, and saturation. When you’re done, you can save your work locally, or you can share it via email, Flickr, Picasa, Facebook, and more.
